The king of dubstep (aka Skrillex) finally emerges from his extended hiatus with the release of his newest track, Voltage, an absolute banger of a song. Skrillex samples lyrics from Benny Benassi’s song Cinema as well as some of his own vocals to build to the massive drop that Sonny Moore (Skrillex’s name) brings to every song. Although the Cinema lyrics are extremely overused, Skrillex does a great job here providing some originality through using them and shows off why he is such a heavy influence in the music industry. Yeeeeeeeee! Thats right, a brand new Skrillex song to start off you’re winter break. Skrillex has had a huge year and in my mind he is the king of dubstep. This song isn’t Skrillex’s usual choppy, heavy-hitting bass sound. Instead he brings a melody and some smooth lyrics to change it up a bit. I think he did a great job branching out to something new and I’m sure he’ll be releasing more tracks similar to this one. Download it below and enjoy.

I bring you yet another collaboration between two artists you would’ve never thought of working together. This time, its Skrillex and the last remaining members of The Doors. This is a high-energy, heavy-base track and it features Robby Krieger on the guitar and Ray Manzarek playing the keyboard. I’m a fan of this one, rate it to let me know what y’all think.
