Avicii and Madonna, two of the biggest names in their respective genres of music, have collaborated to bring us the official STQ version of “Girl Gone Wild”; a progressive house banger that has all the makings of a summer anthem that only Avicii can deliver. One song of Avicii‘s that really stands out to me is “My Feelings For You.” The song is actually a remix of an electro-house song made in the 90′s, but because it has changed so much it is not considered a remix. This one is sort of old news, but if you haven’t heard it before give it a play.

I think that it is only appropriate to dedicate this Throwback Thursday to none other than Etta James. She passed away last Friday and her music sales have gone up over 300%. Yes I said 300%. Recently we have heard her in a few songs, mainly Avicii‘s “Levels,” but also in Flo Rida‘s “Good Feeling,” and Pretty Lights‘ “Finally Moving.” These are just the mainstream artists who have been mixing up some of her very own “Something’s Got A Hold On Me.” All three artists have paid her tribute on their Facebook pages, and when Avicii rocked Levels in Dallas he had RIP ETTA JAMES <3 on every single one of his projectors (check it out below). This is my first post here and it is quite an honor. Luda has agreed to let me make a post here and there, and it will be all house. I went to Avicii last week and his set was unreal from start to finish. But I have to say that one of my favorite songs he played was his opener. Avicii used ‘Fade Into Darkness’ to set the tone for the night, using a mashup of ‘Fade Into Darkness’ (Albin Myers Remix) combined with ‘You’ve Got The Love’ (Mark Knight Remix). The track is hard to find and has not been officially announced or released, but a reboot of it has been made and it is spot on. Check this one out and make sure to download, it won’t disappoint and will surely blow up when it is released.

Avicii, one of the hottest, newest DJs in the game has just produced what I think is his next huge anthem to follow up ‘Levels’. This song is certainly on the same level as his previous hit, and he collaborates with Nicky Romero on this one, which gives it a little extra something. The title of the song is TBA according to Avicii, after he announced it on his Facebook page this morning. For now, I’m just going to stick with the name ‘F**k School’. Also, in addition to this brand new release from him, tomorrow he will be dropping his much anticipated music video for the song ‘Levels’. For now, enjoy this soon-to-be famous house anthem.
